"RIU Cancun is a great option if you are looking to have fun, party and stay close to all the downtown Cancun action. Location is good but beach area is not the best. "We loved our stay . Staff was really nice especially Esmail (waiter) . He was very courteous and pleasant. Activities around and in the pool were top class. Food choices were good but nothing compared to Cabo All inclusive adults only Riu resort. One of the friends had an accident and bath rob got dirty. 5 star resort charged $15 for dirty bathrob which was truly off putting for that level of resort. This is the reason I gave 4 star !! Thanks. "

"The location is the best! You get the best beachfront and you get the best of the tourist town. Friendly and helpful staff. I would not get the all inclusive next time, since there are so many food and drink options near-by. But the service was fine, and the included options are fine. "This is truly an amazing property and worth the money. The rooms were nice and clean. The food was top notch at all restaurants, especially the a la carte. We only visited Xplor park which was a lot of fun. My only reasons for not giving 5 starts in all categories were due to the following: 1. As noted in many reviews, the staff push you to attend a presentation for the expanded area of the hotel. "This resort had everything we were looking for. The beach was clean and beautiful. The food was above board, even the buffet was exceptional. Pool was well maintained with a lot of seating. One draw back was that if you didn’t get to the pool first thing in the morning the prime poolside spots were gone. That was understandable but many seats were “marked” yet nobody used them for 1/2 the day. There should be a 2 hour window that if the seat remains vacant it’s offered to other guests. "

"Great property with a nice private beach, great gift shop and a very lively lobby which always had something fun going on every night like karaoke or a pianist. The lobby bar was fun with great staff and quick service. The beach bar was nice with decent drinks. Abraham, you made my stay memorable as my partner and I enjoyed the adults only pool 😊. Thank you! There was a man in the platinum lounge in the El Cid hotel whose name I did not get, but he was a sweetheart. Highly recommend this place. They helped make my anniversary so special.
