"Should have a few road signs a few km away, lord Kitchener in hotel restaurant is not appropriate as a general in Boer war had role in concentration camps 1897 to 1901 killed 30 000 women and children. In WW 1 was general against my grandpa and perhaps if tactics and strategies changed I might be non existent."

The only place we will stay

"The location of the hotel could not be more perfect, and so is the price but the real reason we stay here is the people. Literally ALL the people we encountered at the River Hotel have been incredible. Given the expected turnover in staff in two years, we were thrilled to see the same gentleman behind the counter. The other two staffers were genuine, honest and extremely helpful. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay near the Loop. (One unexpected bonus - if you can spot the Trump building you know where your hotel is - right across the street. ) "
