"What an amazing and unique vacation!!!! My family of 4 and my brother's family rented out the castle for spring break. Jeff met us upon arrival and gave us a tour. He was so kind and told us so much history about the castle and it's artifacts. The teens had a absolute blast. They went fishing, exploring the property and spent the day rowing out to island. "We had 16 friends from all over the US come and stay for 3 days. We had an amazing time. The home was spectacular. Beds were comfortable, all we needed in the kitchen was provided. We will definitely book this place again when we have large gatherings. Highly recommend."

"We had a great time, the house was clean and as described. The kids loved the Theater room, arcade games, and pool. We would stay again!"

"Lovely old house- (you think drafts with an old house but not at all . It was cozy and modern and classic as well. Plenty of space! Fab kitchen ..everything you’d ever need. We had happy hour at the house and brunch. Had dinner out.Second floor 3 bedrooms comfortable beds. One of the bedrooms has a pretty sun porch. 2 nice bathrooms on that floor.Third floor has 1 bedroom and a nice big bathroom. Also on the third floor is the pool table -TV -fun hangout spot there. "The property was beautiful surrounded by nature and a fountain garden. We enjoyed our stay there. The only issue we had was the room above us had a party and the noise kept us awake until 5 am. The walls were thin and the floors were squeaky, you could hear the rooms above us had a party with too many guests. It would have been nice to have a host there to greet and make aware of extra unwanted guests. "

"Overall, we had a wonderful stay here at Lake Castle retreat. The cleanlines of the property and the overall accomodatuons of my family, was A. We will be renting again in the upcoming year!"

"This was the perfect location/venue for my bachelorette trip. We could walk all over town from the location and it was extremely safe. The home is STUNNING and perfectly stocked for a large group. The history of the home was so cool, but it was also updated enough to be extremely comfortable. We had to reschedule due to a hurricane and the hosts were extremely helpful. They answered all of my questions in a timely manner and were very understanding. I wish I could give 6 stars! "

"Overall we did enjoy the stay and was mostly perfect for us. There was some confusion with check in/out process and parking but they were responsive and easy to get ahold of. Our biggest issue is that the general description says 4 bedrooms, 4 queen+ beds. The description does clarify this a little but we ended up bringing and using a blow up mattress because we weren't sure. The 4th bedroom is actually off of the 3rd bedroom. And while the 4th bedroom has a queen bed, the 3rd bedroom does not...

"Great location. Walkable to Time Square and various forms of public transportation. They sent an email immediately about one of the elevators being out of service for repair. The fridge was large with and little stove top gives you the ability to cook meals for longer stays. Definitely would stay there again. "

Perfect location, clean and spacious rooms.

"This hotel is a hidden gem. We chose the Romer because we needed 2 queen beds and that is very difficult to find in Manhattan. The location was perfect for us at it was .5 miles from Central Park and .5 miles to Times Square. It is just steps away from the theatre district. There is also a subway station across the street on all the direct lines up and down town. The hotel looked newly remodeled. Very clean, great service, if a little slow. Beds and linens were very comfortable. We will stay here again."
