I was cat-fished. Picked this hotel because it was the top recommended hotel by Expedia. I pick out a king bed room but when I checked in they had changed me to a queen and told me “it’s a newly remodeled room with more space and a big walk-in shower”, so I accepted the keys only to find it’s an out-dated handicap room. Toilet was super low, bed was almost on the floor and it definitely hasn’t been remodeled as there was rust in the shower drain and the wallpaper was peeling off. Definitely not the room I booked and not worth what I paid.

We stayed for two nights. Although the check in line was long (Taylor effect) it moved quickly. The room was very nice, beds comfortable. We couldn't really get the heat turned down, we like a cold room for sleeping. Overall I would definitely stay again and suggest to friends.

My Sister and I recently stayed at the Chelsea Hotel Toronto for five nights, and I couldn’t be more disappointed with my experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff at CHECK-IN were incredibly RUDE {Rolled eyes to us} definitely NOT at ALL WELCOMING! Also, they wanted $124 to CHECK-IN 2 hours early although there were rooms ready. In general even with this unfavorable impression is a good hotel and has a great location, walkable to near restaurants, shops, and transport.

This was a first time to Toronto for me and it was great to have a central location to navigate from. The concierge was helpful. I liked the convenience of having an option to store my bag before check in time and after check out time. The room was clean and bed was comfortable.

Good hotel, good location, good price. Too bad about the idiot front doorman. Chelsea spent good money to put in an EV charger to attract that clientele. I drove from Kingston to Toronto and purposely picked this hotel for EV charging. But despite Chelsea spending all that money, the doorman put a big truck there instead blocking the EV charger. The owner coincidentally was at his big truck when I said to the doorman, please ask him to move so I can charge. Nope. “I am dumb duh and parked that truck there.” But I can ONLY charge THERE, he can park ANYWHERE. “I am dumb, duh, nope.” Idiot. Chelsea please update your webpage saying, no EV charging because we hired a dumb doorman.
