"Overall this is a fantastic resort that we would give 4.5 stars if it were an option. The .5 that we deducted was because the beach was not ideal (although there was a strong effort by the resort to improve it), dinner reservations were a bit challenging (unless you like to eat at 9 pm), and we did not like the push to go to the membership breakfast upon arrival."

"We really enjoy staying at El Cid/La Ceiba in Cozumel. Have been staying there since 2001 almost every year. Staff is always friendly and helpful, food is great and the rooms are clean and very comfortable. We have stayed at a few other places throughout the years, but no one else makes us feel like we’re home when we bisit Cozumel. "
