"Staff was nice. Huge breakfast buffet. Place is clean. Nice area, quiet, very lush garden area. Only negative I had was they didn’t have the air conditioning on in the fitness room. Also the building itself could use some repairs. I’m a home remodeling contractor maybe I noticed things others wouldn’t."

I was in a gated area so felt really safe. The breakfast was great! Beach was a close walk and they had beach towels. "

Office hours are from 7 AM to 9 PM. That is according to the sign on the door. But even that is not respected, because when I arrived to check in at 7 PM, no one was there. "Family friendly hotel, great contrasts with their green areas and the hotel. Private beach- the food is good, they do have buffet and only 2 dining restaurants(the Italian restaurant is great) I will recommend to try another one from the city or sister hotel. The option for bookings tours in the agency is not a good service so I recommend to review in advance and have all the questions ready as some of them are priced for what include. Overall great hotel and staff "

"Small all-inclusive in Playacar - we liked the size compared to some of the larger AIs we’ve stayed at. Fortunately the buffet dining area was very good for all three meals, because to get a reservation at one of the small restaurants was ridiculous (you have to wait in line the morning you want to dine, they start taking reservations at 9:30 but people queue up starting at 8:30am!). Adriana makes a great custom omelet and we loved having Paolo as our server). Pools were nice & clean. Beach area...

"The staff are amazing. They are very friendly, polite and helpful. The floor in our room wasn't overly clean, but everything else was great. All of the restaurants at the resort had amazing food! Our daughter went to Mexico 2 years ago and stayed at a resort but after telling her about our stay at Riu, now she wants to stay at a Riu resort the next time she goes to Mexico!"
