"Nice resort with great staff"

"So we arrived to our hotel rather late in the evening and upon arrival they said they had to move us across the street to stay at a different Riu. They sent us to Riu Playacar. The hotel was good however we would have rather stayed at tequila as it was a family reunion . I would suggest going to any of the riu hotels in the area as they were all nice and a very short walk between all of them if you want to explore. "

"The resort was very nice and clean. Rooms were big and well equipped. However the family area is a very long walk from the beach and main buffet. I also noticed that most of the beach chairs are blocked off for the executive level people as well as a few of the more convenient pools. Furthermore if you would like to book a dinner at one of the a la cart good luck unless you are executive level. "

"Amazing hotel grounds, it's like staying in a jungle. Cute agoutis (local rodents) running around. At the time of our visit it had the best beach among the neighbouring resorts. All the other hotels had ugly sandbags everywhere to prevent the sand erosion. The resort has 2 other properties in Playa del Carmen, there are free shuttles all day long, definitely worth a visit, altough the beach is not as nice (many small boats spoil the view). "First resort experience, and it was wondrrful."

"This is not a five star resort, but a five star value. We have stayed at Iberostar properties more than 10 times and they never disappoint. Very good food,.good drinks, great service, friendly atmosphere and at this property an amazing landscape. Plus the best beach anywhere. We will return. One caveat. BD Experience, our shutt service from the airport to the resort had no record of our reservation. Staff claimed this was a recurring issue with Expedia. We waited 45 minutes for them to sort...

"Muy buena estancia, solo un detalle, de repente no teníamos luz en la habitación y nos salía agua muy caliente de repente en las regaderas, aún así , todo muy bien, tanto los alimentos como el área de alberca y playas muy bien y muy limpio todo."
