The trapeze. This activity was unique and amazing. Overall very clean property. We were only visiting for 2.5 days and the staff were kind enough to get us a restaurant reservation even though it was full. We were also vegetarian and the chef made us a special Mexican meal without meat at the regular cafe.as it was hard for us to find options that were not mixed or alongside meat. Kids loved all the activities and the staff were amazing. I highly recommend this resort.

We go to the Mexico all inclusive every winter. Good things in Viva Maya: The beach and sea are wonderful! No waves, no seaweed, no dip water, no stones, white sand, very safe swimming. Abundant amount of sunbeds. The territory is small enough to walk from your room to the beach, pools and restaurants. No needs of golf cars transportation. The hotel is small. Very cute and cozy. Very clean everywhere. The service on check in, on cleaning rooms, at bars and restaurants is perfect as usually in Mexico all inclusive 4 stars. The food is fresh, very diverse, delicious. Especially Christmas dinner was impress. Bad things: Very loud resort. And we are young people and it bothered us! The volume of music is extreme. You can`t rest in your rooms if you live close to the pools since pools activities with very loud music. But on beach you don`t hear it so loud. You can`t sleep if you live close to the lobby since night dance with extremely loud music. Our room was facing the pool and we heard music during the night from lobby disco. And second. Boring, not sophisticated shows. Starts at 9.30pm that is late. And again with very loud music. Because of this 2 things we will choose another resort next time.

One thing that they could’ve done is warned people about the strobe light usage during the evening performances. I’m sensitive to strobe lights and had a really hard time one night and had a headache until the next morning because of the lights. The food in general was okay. Breakfast was always good and lunch and dinner was average. I got sick from eating there one night and stayed up all night using the restroom. The next morning I was vomiting from how sick I was (I don’t drink alcohol at all and only ate at the resort that day). The same morning my mom fell on the slippery floor getting me medicine for my upset stomach. It was a rainy day and water was in the hallways of the building where our room was. They had a caution sign but the floor is very slippery when wet and there was no railing to hold on to. They wanted to charge me for a towel I used to clean my vomit but dropped the charges after my mom and I filed a report about my stomach issues and about my mom’s fall. They have a doctor at the property but it’s extra charge even for crutches (my mom couldn’t walk the day that she fell and is still limping). Don’t waste your time filling out the complaint reports. Good that they have two pharmacies across the street. The activities were nice. Josue taught me how to sail the catamaran and how to do archery. He was very patient with both activities and made sure my posture was good for the archery. Angel also gave me a catamaran lesson and it was good too.

We have stayed in PLAYACA 5 times at 4 resorts. We really like this resort and if we come back we will come here again. No complaints, they try to keep you entertained and it has a beautiful beach. Very happy.

Do NOT stay in room 3122 unless you enjoy the CONSTANT SEWER SMELL. Do NOT stay in room 3126 unless you don’t need a toilet seat and enjoy SEWER smell and don’t stay in 3306 if you are over 4 ft tall and would like to shower where the shower head works for your height. Food was less than mediocre, and it’s not of IF it’s WHEN you get food poisoning. The lack of compatibility for US dollars is unbelievable for a tourist spot. The employees in the shop are very rude. I do NOT recommend this resort and will NOT stay again. In all my years coming to Mexico I have never dealt with them not accepting IS money with small tears, maybe something new? All that has to be done is keep circulating it, as much American money that comes in, it’s an easy thing.
