"This was our 3rd time at Sapphire. We keep coming back primarily because of the staff. They are AWESOME! Everyone were consistently friendly, attentive and do an incredible job of drawing you into the daily activities. Food was above average. Nothing spectacular but this is a reasonably priced all-inclusive resort. You want fancy/high end, might look at an "a la carte option. (That said, their chicken wings and all food at Bordeaux were great!) For those of us who like to get back to a quiet room at a reasonable hour, we really appreciate that the pool and beach areas were quiet by 8-9pm. Sapphire offers free guided bike rides daily into Puerto Morelos which is always a great trip and highly recommend doing. Just make sure you arrive by the waiting area 15-20 minutes early to make sure you get on the list as they are limited by number of available bikes. We stayed in a preferred club, ocean front room with a jacuzzi tub on the balcony. Room was clean. View was great and we truly enjoyed our morning time watching the sunrise from the tub! Housekeeping had the room cleaned/reset each morning by around 9am. The beaches were constantly being maintained and seaweed cleared. Sapphire was one of the cleanest shorelines. Being our 3rd trip (my wife, me and 3 "children" ranging from 20-22 yrs old), we left already talking about next time! Shout outs to some memorable staff: Wendy Pedro in the World Cafe, Dave in the lobby and Ricky, Joe and Mar with Entertainment. "

"Really liked the dining options and that once you learned how to navigate the dining system for dinner, you didn't have to be concerned with reservations. The food quality for an all-inclusive was actually good on average and I would say above average overall. Staff was very friendly and pleasant. Pool drink service was non-stop! Beach area was beautiful and pool activities staff was happy and cheerful. Whoever designed the bathroom in the room was an idiot! The separate toilet room is literally 32" wide and only deep enough to sit on the toilet. When you get up from the seat, you have to make sure you won't hit your head on the bar from the door. It has a separate huge shower and a huge area for double sinks. Why they didn't take some of that area for the toilet room is beyond me. There are no bars in the toilet room so I can see that an elderly person may have difficulty getting up off the toilet! Stupid architect!! I have been going to Mexico all-inclusives for over 20 years and I would recommend this resort and would go back. "

"This resort is very easy to navigate. There is a variety of food options and no reservations were required. Entertainment was awesome. The only thing I would want to change is our room. We were ground floor next to stairs, elevator and staff area. Very noisy and limited sleep at night. The rooms are very clean! We would go there again"

"The resort is so clean and beautiful. Staff were tirelessly and constantly cleaning. Food choices are excellent. The resort is in an isolated area, so there is no other transportation but taxi. When I booked taxi with the bell man to go to the airport and paid for it in cash, as I was told to do so, things went a little south. The next morning when I was ready for airport and was waiting for my taxi, it never came. The only bell man said to me I did not have to reserve ahead of time. I was glad someone help me and drove me to the airport. Management should investigate this matter, as clearly some bell man took customer’s money and never booked any taxi. I am pretty sure this was not the first time."

"[Traveled in March 2025] The property itself is, for the most part, immaculately kept. The restaurants are fantastic (save for the Asian restaurant) and the cold brew is strong (enjoyed getting some every morning at the buffet). The cocktails and drinks in the preferred club were notably stronger than other areas of the resort. The bar grill by the pool served fantastic wings (coming from somebody that loves hot wings and is picky). For the most part, the staff is exceptional and attentive. The masseuses at the spa were phenomenal! Cons: Room furniture was outdated, and the rooms have steps (is a problem with kids and/ or if you’ve had some drinks in you). The beach is small and on the rockier side. Ran into a couple of rude staff, and had to demand to not be waited by one in particular. Additionally had room service come and open the door to our room at 10 PM without knocking (it seems a late “turn down” service is to be expected, but this particular employee did not follow the 3x knocking protocol). Reported this to the front desk and they were apologetic and extremely mindful for the rest of our stay. Overall Experience: 7.5/10. We would return even with the cons as described above. Property was beautiful, drinks/food/ coffee was fantastic, and staff is great for the most part."
