"great location! Most staff were very friendly and attentive. We didn’t like the needing to make reservations for dinner. One restaurant didn’t seat us because we were 9 minutes late! The other restaurant once we did make it to our reservation, was rushing us to order and to get us out. Not sure if the kitchen was closing but the waiter got a little annoyed that we ordered a second entree. "

"RIU Cancun is a great option if you are looking to have fun, party and stay close to all the downtown Cancun action. Location is good but beach area is not the best. "The location is the best! You get the best beachfront and you get the best of the tourist town. Friendly and helpful staff. I would not get the all inclusive next time, since there are so many food and drink options near-by. But the service was fine, and the included options are fine. "This is truly an amazing property and worth the money. The rooms were nice and clean. The food was top notch at all restaurants, especially the a la carte. We only visited Xplor park which was a lot of fun. My only reasons for not giving 5 starts in all categories were due to the following: 1. "This resort had everything we were looking for. The beach was clean and beautiful. The food was above board, even the buffet was exceptional. Pool was well maintained with a lot of seating. One draw back was that if you didn’t get to the pool first thing in the morning the prime poolside spots were gone. That was understandable but many seats were “marked” yet nobody used them for 1/2 the day. There should be a 2 hour window that if the seat remains vacant it’s offered to other guests. "

"Amazing hotel with my 8 and 12 yr old. Awesome shows every night restaurants with huge variety pool had something for everyone, main pool great entertainment, calm ocean, beach volleyball and bikes to ride through property. Staff great! . "

"We traveled with our extended family and with small children ( 1 year to 9) . We had a fantastic experience. It was a very laid back and Family friendly environment, but yet checked all the boxes for the adults. It didnt feel like a theme park and was a true vacation. We will be back! "

"Great property with a nice private beach, great gift shop and a very lively lobby which always had something fun going on every night like karaoke or a pianist. The lobby bar was fun with great staff and quick service. The beach bar was nice with decent drinks. "Absolutely excellent stay. My expectations were exceeded!!!! Shout out to Joel for having such positive energy every time we needed a golf cart. Abraham, you made my stay memorable as my partner and I enjoyed the adults only pool 😊. Thank you! There was a man in the platinum lounge in the El Cid hotel whose name I did not get, but he was a sweetheart. Highly recommend this place. They helped make my anniversary so special. Also, Aakat was the best restaurant hands down. "
