"Phone did not work to contact reception, said out of range? But was near docking station?"

"We booked for a short 5 day stay and were glad to realise it was such a close proximity to restaurants, souvenir stores, Victoria Street and the famous Edinburgh castle! The staff were friendly upon arrival HOWEVER we were told by one gentlemen that our room was not ready but to rest assure when it would be, we would have a wonderful view of the castle during our stay. When our time came to check in a women gave us our room but it was on the opposite end of the hotel so we did not get the view...

"Have stayed in motel one hotels before. This one was in a great location on the edge of the old town and yet very handy to the new town. It is a budget hotel but cannot fault it for value for money. Would stay there again"

"Lovely hotel warm and inviting. We had a very tasty meal in the restaurant and the buffet breakfast was good with a great variety of dishes, coffee was terrible though. I later saw the Starbucks near the lobby wish Id known I would have gone there. Beds were comfy, staff were helpful and polite. Will stay again."

"The Hampton by Hilton is perfect if your flight is from Gatwick’s North Terminal. It truly couldn’t be closer. After parking you walk to the terminal entrance, turn right & walk through directly into the hotel reception. The rooms are modern & reasonable size. The bed & bedding was clean & comfortable. Highly recommend to travellers with an early flight for an option to getting up at dawn . "
