Hotel Eloisa - Near Playa de los Muertos
3.0 star property
7.6 out of 10, Good, (1284)
"A "traditional" old-Mexico style hotel in the heart of Puerto Vallarta's Romantic Zone. Not fancy, but clean, safe, great staff, with an excellent location close to restaurants, bars, the Malecon (oceanfront walkway), entertainment, transportation, etc. It's our "go to" place to stay in PV. We are repeat guests and we've stayed in the suite, mini-suite, and studio rooms without complaint."

Rosita Hotel
3.5 star property
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (1003)
"So first of all, this hotel is in the sh*t. I done mean it was bad, I mean it is literally at the entrance of the malecón (boardwalk) and all of the chaos that entails. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, this ain’t it. If you’re looking to stumble back from a waterfront sports bar, this is the way. Overall the quality is,, well, fine. Is it amazing? No. Is it clean? Mostly. But this is also literally the first hotel in PV and this old girl is a little tired. I was here for one week, and had...

9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (1003)
"Pros: Very quick, easy & accommodating checkin & checkout. All staff members at front desk were extremely pleasant and helpful. Needed a 1-night stay before departing flight the next day. We wanted to spend the last night of our trip in Old Town & this was a perfect location. Cons: It's an old facility so just keep that in mind when booking. No elevator. Our room was on the top floor & navigating three flights of stairs with our suitcases was challenging. We managed it OK but it could be a...
