"The resort - The staff was very nice. There were many pool areas to choose from, (louder with music and activities, and also quieter ones.) Plenty of easy to access bars, and a great buffet! A head's up- the "water park" (which is really just a few slides) and kid area are not included, and are geared to kids under about age 8. I'm glad we didn't pay for it! Due to the moist climate, many rooms smell terribly of mold, and are in need of vents! We traveled with our 7 and 9 year olds. Expedia - While I booked aa all inclusive package for two adults, and 2 children, ages 7 and 9, when we got to the resort, the hotel had "two babies" registered, so they charged us additional for our two kids! I could not call Expedia from Mexico, and wasted 2 hours in the lobby fighting with the hotel, finally chatting with an Expedia rep through the app. We finally just paid it so that we could start our vacation. In addition, Expedia advertised that our room had a "twin sofa bed", but it did not. Our first room had a small loveseat. We changed rooms twice, and ended up in a room with a weird twin sofa that the mattress unfolded but slanted onto the floor, & wasn't propped up at all. So the 4 of us pushed the 2 double beds together and slept together. We also did not receive the VIP welcome drinks or "gift" in the room. After returning home & fighting to speak to a supervisor, he refunded the extra charge for the 2 kids, as it was Expedia's fault. I appreciated that! We'd stay here again!"

"There is so much positive I want to say about our stay at the Hilton Playa del Carmen. From the moment we arrived to the moment we got in the shuttle to leave. Thank you all the hospitable staff I cannot remember the name of all: Alejandro at the pool, Ruben at Pelicanos, Yolanda and Aldo at M. Patrona. Lili and Fernando for the pictures. The lifeguard to cleaned up the scrape/cut I got on my leg when I slipped by the pool. Thank you to the whole entertainment team! Water aerobics, water spin— the FOAM party was the best!!! The gym was clean and well organized probably the best workouts I’ve gotten all year! Thank you to the caballeros at La Mejorada bar! Thank you to the senoritas at Aromas cafe- always smiling and always welcoming. Thank you to Lili for being our housekeeper when we needed a little cleaning up. Thank you to the guys at the bar at Kalamata who were always checking on our drinks by the pool. I’ve been to Playa before and stayed somewhere else. I’m in love with the city and now I’m in love with this resort. We were never ignored, always well cared for. The food was delicious!! We loved it so much we plan to return around the same time next year and hopefully extend the stay. Thank you HILTON! "

"Ocean riviera paradise was a wonderful experience. Though the amenities, experience and food were overall excellent, it was the staff that really stood out. First off, Miriam at the front desk was incredibly welcoming from the minute we walked into the door Maria from guest services checked in with us every day to ensure all our needs were met Celeste from the entertainment team at el Beso never failed to amp up the resort and got all of us engaged in the activities Jessica from our evening entertainment always made sure we had a blast and lastly the team at Mike's coffee, Madahi, Clara, Sonia and Karina were always wonderful and made excellent coffee!"

"This resort is under rated. For us this resort is a 10 ! We have been traveling to Cancun since 1990! This resort experience was the very best. The food is outstanding and the property is impeccable. They were booked and it did not feel crowded. The staff was so kind especially Rapheal who was our concierge! I had a heart attack the last day of our visit and the staff was phenomenal We can not thank them enough!"

"Secrets Maroma has to be the best all-inclusive we have been to. We have stayed at other inclusive like the Hyatt turquoise tower and the Dream all-inclusive in Cancun. Those two mentioned resorts do not even compare to the Secrets Maroma. I will be honest, I am particular and have no shame in calling a resort out. This place gave me no issues. * The food was very delicious, I am a bit of a snob when it comes to food but this place had me finishing all of my dishes at multiple restaurants. This is shocking for an all-inclusive, how many times have you paid a few grand to get bland food at the resort? You will not have that issue here at Secrets. Not to mention that the staff are 10/10, super kind, and very attentive. * The shared pool was nice they have 2 big pools that are beachfront. We had our private pool that came with the room we booked. * The beach was perfect; it was one of the best beaches I have been to. I have been all around the world, and this beach is one of the best: clean soft sand and clear ocean water. * The room is soundproof, I have sensitive hearing. I slept very well here. The beds are soft and the room is well-circulated giving you clean fresh air. * Safety is top-notch here. You need to pass 2-3 gates to even be able to enter the property. you're surrounded by thick vegetation so bypassing security is not easy. * Getting kind of lazy right now. My review will not do any justice you gotta just book and check it out for yourself. "
