"Just spent a week at Sandos Caracol Eco Resort. The resort itself was excellent from the staff, the rooms, the activities, and the food selection. The beach is not the best that’s for sure but that is something out of the resorts control. Highly recommend the a la carte restaurants. This resort does not deserve the negative reviews it receives. "

"Entire property was extremely well maintained, all staff were nice and helpful. Being able to visit other hotels within the Barcelo family is nice and offered the kids the ability to try different pools. Would highly recommend this property for any families. Only caveat, in the property description they don't mention the water park/surfing area is an extra charge, along with the bowling and some other activies. "We loved our stay at the Royal Haciendas! The kids club was a hit with our daughter, the games room was a popular place for our son and the swim up bar was the perfect spot for the parents! Food was great, staff were friendly and helpful. It was a windy week so we didn’t spend much time at the beach, but with so many swimming pool options, we didn’t miss it much (and the fact that you can see the ocean from the pools helps). Such a great family vacation spot! Thank you, Royal Haciendas!"

"Beautiful resort. Very relaxing and inviting. Would recommend it. BUT I was disappointed with the service on the platinum beach area. Servers stood at the bar almost all day and talked. They rarely brought drinks. I got three drinks myself for my wife and I while they watched as I walked up and brought them back myself over the period of an hour and a half. "The only thing that is unlikeable is the people reserving chairs that they won't use. Just be an adult and share :). Food choices, beach area, pool area, staff was excellent. Loved the room."
