"This was our first time in Punta Cana. Unfortunately this place has very little maintenance, if any. From what we heard, it’s a fairly new construction, however; the place is in bad shape - the kitchen has door handles missing and broken tiles. The AC and stove did not work. The place also needs painting. The beach in itself is beautiful. We had a great view. Some of the staff were helpful and friendly. However, their office does not open until 10am which makes it very inconvenient to check out...

"Unfortunately, my stay was disappointing. There were no towels or toilet paper upon arrival, and when I requested them, dirty towels were provided. The bed was uncomfortable, curved, and didn’t fit the frame properly. The noise level was unbearable, with thin walls that didn’t block any sound, making it difficult to sleep. Not as advertised... "

"We took our adult children on a family trip and Riu Macao fit nicely! Great pools, beach, variety of food, and fun entertainment. The RiuFit and Entertainment staff was fun and anyone had activities to fit their personality style. The patio buffet had an amazing assortment of food to fit tastes and all the restaurants on property we delicious. We felt the wait staff and entertainment were family and it was sad to leave at the end. "
