"A lovely little slice of heaven. Very communicative, very clean, very relaxing, great drinks, awesome staff, beautiful beaches and sand, lots of daily activities and nightly entertainment if you want, massages on the beach, lots of dining options and all were very delicious! Their app is so user friendly and super handy. Lots of places to go for walks and the room was spacious and well-appointed. We stayed in the villa type area and our view was beautiful and private. This was our first time here - we talked to a handful of others who said this resort is the only one they come to now. Can't wait to go back!"

"Can't wait to go back! Fantastic pools with waterslides that the kids loved because they were nice and fast! Amazing snorkeling right off the beach with turtles and fish! Great buffets that even had a vegetarian section (yay!). We also appreciated the Coral Grill buffet that was open when the others were closed. Our room and bathroom were very spacious, and we valued all the bottled water. The a la carte restaurants for the most part weren't really a good match for us, except for the Tokyo teppanyaki restaurant. Quote from our 10 year old daughter: "best meal of the trip!" Not only was it entertaining, but the food was phenomenal! Terrific tofu! (be sure to reserve early to get a spot during your stay, and they do enforce the dress code for adults) The nightly entertainment was fun, and my daughter especially was a fan of the kids karaoke. (be sure to get there 15-20 minutes early so you can score a spot to sing) The breadth of options you have access to across all the Barcelo Maya resort is a plus (be sure to bring your walking shoes so you can cover the distances unless you want to wait for the complimentary resort bus)"
