"This is not a luxury resort. It does not pretend to be. But I've been coming here for probably 8 years and will continue for as long as I can. The location is perfect. Everything in old town is walking distance. The beach is beautiful. I do wish they'd rake it a bit more often, and the beach chairs could use some maintenance. The hotel is very clean. The people working there are nice and friendly. (Of course, I am friendly with them.) I don't usually eat there, so I won't comment on food. For what I pay, and the experience I get, this hotel is perfect. If you are looking for a boogie place, this is not it. If you are looking for a great place to experience Puerto Vallarta, this is it. Thank you Hotel Tropicana for another great stay! "
