"Juan Carlos checked me in efficiently and quickly, he also told us where to eat nearby and did not hesitate to get us a taxi wherever we wanted to go. He was so welcoming that I would recommend anyone to stay here! The room itself is huge with a balcony full kitchen stocked with pots and pans and a huge bathroom. Also, you are near the night life but it isn’t where the location is noisy or busy because it isn’t! But if you walk four to five blocks you are on 5th where it is the heart of shopping and night life! You won’t regret it and I’ll definitely be going back! "

"I reviewed some of the reviews prior to traveling. Do not take the negative reviews with much weight. I wholeheartedly would give this resort a 5/5. The place was beautiful (yes, a little dated, but beautiful). The staff were so welcoming, funny, kind, consistent, and absolute professionals. The resort's pools were absolutely overwhelming. They were the biggest pools that I have ever seen in my life. The animals and nature were also amazing. I have never seen some of the animals. There were coatis everywhere! They were so cute. The location was convenient to Downtown Playa Del Carmen. There was a resort shuttle for 10 dollars round trip per person; the shuttle was great! A note of caution! Book a taxi from the airport PRIOR to getting to Mexico. The taxi experience is frustrating when you do it the day of. Never, ever, pay the first price they tell you. We paid 220 for two people to get to and from the resort. You can likely find cheaper. All of the critics seem to be not down to earth. This is an affordable and welcoming resort. You get what you pay for with respect to fancy food. The food was what you would expect for an affordable resort. It was good, but nothing I would rave about. There is only one criticism that I do agree with. I think the reservations for the restaurants fill up wayyyy too quickly. Make sure to book a reservation as soon as you check in. Plan your dinner times out to be conveinant for your plans. Otherwise you will not get a reservation. <3"

"Good quality was good, drinks were good but room service food quality wasn’t the best and that’s not included in all inclusive package. Less cabanas and more chair around the pool would have been nice. Perfect location for walking downtown. "
