"This hotel was perfect for us. We enjoy being outdoors and stayed in winter. Although a beautiful hotel we felt comfortable walking in in our outdoor boots and coats and the hotel had a quiet, relaxed feel. The staff were excellent, quiet, friendly and hard working. Nothing was too much trouble. The spa area was spacious and relaxing. There was no one there when we went but it did get busier later in the day. There are no tea be coffee making facilities in the rooms but you can buy hot drinks...

"A charming country estate retreat. Host was very welcoming. The family room with maisonette 2nd bedroom and spacious bathroom was great. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide range of delicious meats, presumably from the pigs that are farmed here too. Just beware the premium prices of imported beers."

"The public areas are lovely - the space in front of the mansion, the breakfast/restaurant room with amazing views over the lake. It has lots of history, and the lobby is typically Swedish in its effortless cool. The room was a little less impressive. For the cost it was basically two adjoining conference rooms with very little in the way of comfort, and a very small, disappointingly dated bathroom. The view from the window was pleasant enough, over the road, but the building was incredibly...

"Nice hotel polite staff and good breakfast (but VERY busy at 06.30 I had to leave without any!) building work was going on and so ask for a room at the front (note this is not an option for disabled travelers all rooms with showers/accessible rooms are at the back)"

"Great location for walking into and around town. Wonderful breakfast. Had a very nice dinner at the Italian restaurant. Great staff. The views are fantastic. The fitness room needs an update. More treadmills and ellipticals. The water container never was replaced for 5 days. "
