"Nara Hotel was all the amazing I hoped it was when I made the reservation. I love that place! Not sure I would make that Trek again from the middle of USA, but I highly recommend for those seeking a traditional Japan stay."

Neither the public bath (tiny and uncomfortable changing room), nor the breakfast (average food at a unsuiting banquet hall) met our expectation on new year's day. No VIP access perks were given. "

"Excellent accommodation. We arranged to have japanese Traditional dinner with 5 of us this time, and also traditional breakfast. They have hotel parking right at the front door and we enjoyed the walking distance (5 mins) to seeing the deer in Nara."

"The main room was good. Great views and plenty of space to relax. The letdown was the bathroom. It was tiny with very dated fittings and nowhere to put toiletries. It was also at a higher level meaning a really big step down into the main room which was potentially a safety risk."
