Excellent location. Near shopping centers and JR train station. Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff are very friendly. There are a lot of restaurants and convenient stores near the hotel.

For the location, it is very convenient. A lot of eateries near by and shopping centers as well. Only down side there was a small air leak on the corner window which made the room colder. Other than that, it was fine.

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Monterey Le Frere Osaka! The hotel was really nice and after getting used to the traditions, we loved going to the sento/Trinite baths every day. It's a bit of a walk from the Osaka train stations, but in January we were still able to stay underground for almost all of the eay there. Fair warning - when visiting the Umeda underground routes be ready to be lost as it's very convoluted and busy, so it's easy to get confused. The hotel and staff on the other hand made the stay fantastic.
