"This historic building is lovely. Being an old building, the rooms are slightly small but quite livable. I loved the in-room Nespresso coffee maker. The San Diego Zoo and Balboa park are very nearby and easy to get to from here. "

"Few items that are different than other locations: No 24 hour tea and coffee bar and the evening reception food/snacks we not up to standard. Just chips and salsa other locations Fo chicken fingers taco meat etc…."

"We absolutely LOVED our stay at La Pensione. The farmers market on the weekends was a fun time very walkable place, right in front of the hotel. The hotel does not have a communal washer and dryer to use So plan on taking your dirty laundry back home with you. The staff was super nice and friendly, very easy to talk to. Loved all the restaurants nearby, and the little Italian markets were to die for. Easy commute to the trolley station. A very cute hotel."
