"Great location with great staff. We were always greeted with a smile and if we needed assistance with anything. The small things that make you feel welcome helps to add to the stay. The concierge was great, gave us great recommendations that only locals and popular restaurants and bars. Would definitely recommend and plan on visiting again. "

"This is a nicely updated historic hotel in the heart of San Diego. Unfortunately, the updates could not do anything about the thin walls that are commonplace in older buildings. First night we were kept awake by the folks in the next room until the wee hours. Fortunately, front desk was super responsive, moving us to an upgraded corner suite for the remainder of our trip and waiving the convenience fee for our troubles. It was a bummer to have a lousy night's sleep, but was impressed with how the staff handled the issue. "
