The room was spacious and extremely comfortable, though it felt a bit warm and stuffy at times. Overall, the convenience and cozy atmosphere made for a great stay. Would definitely return!"

"This is a nicely updated historic hotel in the heart of San Diego. Unfortunately, the updates could not do anything about the thin walls that are commonplace in older buildings. First night we were kept awake by the folks in the next room until the wee hours. Fortunately, front desk was super responsive, moving us to an upgraded corner suite for the remainder of our trip and waiving the convenience fee for our troubles. It was a bummer to have a lousy night's sleep, but was impressed with how...

"The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The gym was clean and the equipment was nice. Great açaí bowl at the 509 restaurant. The neighborhood was very walkable and close to the action. The only thing I did not like was the resort fee. As we already had a breakfast package, we spent most of the fee at the roof top bar/restaurant. Would have preferred more healthy take away snack food options . "
