"We were coming to town for a 1 night stay and chose the Pendry this time. We usually pick different hotels just to get to experience various locations and hotel brands, this was an exceptional choice. We like higher end rooms and suites so we have a high standard for the price range we’re typically paying. We had a suite on the 5th floor and the room was clean, modern and very appealing to the eye. The living room was classy with some great couches and built in book shelves, the bedroom was very clean and cozy looking and the bathroom was perfect. Valet was great, lobby staff were friendly and helpful and the pool area and gym as well as the bars and restaurant all looked amazing. Would definitely recommend this great hotel right in the heart of the Gaslamp district!"

"There are times where there are mass arrivals, which seems to occur daily. This can make getting the attention of staff a challenge at times. Otherwise, we truly enjoyed our stay. The concierge was very helpful and everything seems really easy to get to in San Diego."

"The hotel was impeccably clean, as was our room. It has a very chill vibe, which was perfect for our trip to the San Diego Zoo...however I would DEFINITELY stay as a business traveler as well. Check in was easy and the VIP perks were really a wonderful addition! We weren't impressed with The Cafe's food. It was mediocre at best and was incredibly expensive. There were amazing restaurants nearby and walkable. I will ABSOLUTELY return to this hotel again! The staff are just fantastic!"

"Rooms and elevators seemed a little worn down / dated but overall was a pleasant experience. The room seemed clean so no complaints there and the service was great. Thin walls though I could hear the elevator all the way from my room. "
