"Tabacón is an incredible resort! The springs is much larger than you would expect, with many beautiful parts to find privacy and relaxation. The drinks are incredible and views are even better. We indulged in a couples volcanic mud massage- and it was the best massage ever! The spa is beautiful, peaceful and worth it! One thing to consider is that it is a 20minute ride to town, so you are pretty much committed to eating at the resort- which is not cheap. Each drink is $15 and meals are $20 ....

"The description of the property is fraudulent. No towels in the room, the hot water does not work, we reserved full size beds but were put ib a room with 4 twin beds. We had to climb 64 steps in the rain to get to our room. Internet is only available in the lobby."

"Loved the tranquil setting outside our room with the private spring-fed tub/hot tub and sitting area. The room had everything we needed but didnt spend much time there. The pool and restaurant areas were spectacular with a dead center close up view of the volcano. Dont miss the lower hot spring tubs with wakk up bar! Gorgeous!"

"Extremely underrated hotel with an amazing property. Location is very near to Arenal and the hanging bridges but is otherwise somewhat isolated from the rest of La Fortuna. If you're only staying a few days to see those locations, or the kind of person who doesn't mind a 15-30 minute drive to visit other locations, this is a non-issue.
