Nice hotel and would recommend staying! Close to downtown La Fortuna via car and excursions. Hot springs were fun and very clean. Would not recommend buffet but overall was a great time, felt safe and comfortable. Breakfast was quick and easy and snacks were good! Easy stay and would recommend!

Pros: Amazing hot springs, good kids area (fun slides), everything was clean, cart rides if needed to rooms, great security, staff was great, location is perfect (close to volcano) and restaurants Cons: Towels/locker area for day pass people was inconvenient, walking up hill (rooms far away), lots of people, limited restaurants, day pass people have to have cash for towels (inconvenient)

We stayed here 4 days, had a lovely junior suite, very large room and bath with private outdoor space surrounded by plants so felt very private. We enjoyed doing things in the Fortuna area and spending 1-2 hours in the hot springs pools each day. Night was very pretty with the colored lights on the pools and less people than during the day. Staff very helpful, including one who would give us rides in the golf cart back to our suite which was at the far wnd of property. Only issue were the dining options. We liked the included breakfast buffet very much, but thought the bar food and the two restaurants were only so-so.

The property was amazing and if your focus is to spend time enjoying the assorted variety of hot spring pools in tropical environment then this place checks the boxes. It is a fairly small property and due to the majority of the property being filled with pools and related features don't expect to see much wildlife but overall it's a great place to stay. The rooms were great, the food in both restaurants I tried excellent, and the included breakfast buffet was vey good each morning.

We stayed here for one night as a family of six. The hot springs were great and it the pools were a nice mix of sizes and styles. It had more of a Vegas feeling than true nature which I didn’t expect. And everything on site was quite expensive. I think if you’re looking for a hot spring experience with a swim up bar and a very mid buffet you’ll be happy. We did find the staff very hospitable and the Italian restaurant was pretty good. I think if we wanted to stay at a hot spring resort we would choose a smaller resort that felt a bit smaller But that’s just our preference

This was such an amazing experience and we loved all the pools, the water slides, the food and the staff were so kind. The rooms were nice but not as special as the property, but we didnt spend much time in our room and we didnt stay in the premium rooms. Highly recommend and an uber into La fortuna was 3$US More than easy enough. An uber was always 1 min away. BOOK IT. JUST DO IT!

I gave this property a 3 because i expected much more for $500 a night. Complaints- poorly working air conditioner (the best it did was about 76 degrees), water never got very hot (i dont even like really hot showers but this was just luke warm), the food was ok, not great and the dinner buffet was awful (please skip it). The room had a dehumidifier that needed emptying 3 to 4 times a day. If i emptyed it before bed i was woken up very early in the morning to empty it again. If you don't have it running it get hotter in the room. It was raining off and on so maybe it's better if drier. Accolades- beautiful property, the pools were wonderful, the room's furnishings were nice and the staff were friendly and accommodating.

Beautiful property with very helpful, friendly staff. The thermal pools were amazing and our teenage boys had a blast in the waterslides. Seimbup bar was a nice touch but drink prices there were ridiculous. Other items around the hotel were affordable. Rooms were clean and comfortable, though all the dark wood made them too dark and not very cozy. Juan at the from desk was especially helpful and personable. Security was tight going in and out of the property and that felt good. The number of day-pass people on a Saturday when we were there was insane, but the other days were much better. Breakfast buffet is very good and noon checkout is a plus…
