About 30 minutes from the main city but amazing view and close to many activities. The view really is spectacular! Breakfast in the morning was pretty good. you will need a car to get around. Rooms themselves are pretty dated, I got a junior suite and for some reason the two beds were facing each other which was a bit strange.

Very serene location in La Fortuna
Excellent place to view Arenal volcano and the lake. The place is very quiet. Restaurant staff are very friendly. Decent food choices including vegetarian options. It may be little far from La Fortuna if there is preference for other varieties of food.

Incredible views of the volcano and lake! Super friendly and helpful staff. Loved the bird feeders, the window placements, and abundant viewing areas. Rooms are a little dated and sparse (a TV from two decades ago, erratic wifi, and lack of power outlets), but they were clean and comfortable. I would recommend bringing body wash if you don’t like small hand soap to shower with. The breakfast was decent, maybe a tiny step above a continental breakfast. I would not recommend eating at the restaurant for other meals though. It was pricy, mediocre quality, and didn’t taste great. Overall, I would recommend it and would stay here again.
