"This is the second time I have stayed here visiting family. Overall nice property but there was an issue with guests from Mainland China. They were loud, drunk, rude, and made thenstay less enjoyable. This hotel should review it's travel partners and better vet the groups coming in. The area is good but too many Gaijin tourists who are ruining Kyoto with there boorish behavior. I feel sorry for the locals."

"It's a small and simple hotel but location is good. A lot of restaurants nearby and there's a money changer machine and MUFG ATM machines next to arashiyama line. Important is this money changer machine provides good rate for foreign currencies compare to other bank machines. Room size is not big but the twin room for two persons sharing is still quite OK to me. I choose the twin room without cleaning services but they will still provide you new clean towels everyday. "Location! Location! Location! Close to many shopping areas and Gion and a hop and skip to a subway. There also a wonderful Kimono rental shop nearby called Akuru! Above and beyond staff: I lost my JR Pass (had to get the green car one as I have pneumonia and cannot take smoke or smoking smells) and the front desk staff found it! All the staff was really friendly and helpful. Sure the room is a bit outdated but it was clean and loved all the little things they provided in the room like...
