"A great hotel with clean and comfortable accomodations as well as an incredibly helpful and friendly staff. If you are travelling within Kyoto, you may need to walk for a bit before you get to the local metro lines, but if you're instead going to be traveling through Kyoto Station then there is a free shuttle that travels to and from the station and hotel at regular intervals."

"This is the second time I have stayed here visiting family. Overall nice property but there was an issue with guests from Mainland China. They were loud, drunk, rude, and made thenstay less enjoyable. This hotel should review it's travel partners and better vet the groups coming in. The area is good but too many Gaijin tourists who are ruining Kyoto with there boorish behavior. I feel sorry for the locals."

"It's a small and simple hotel but location is good. A lot of restaurants nearby and there's a money changer machine and MUFG ATM machines next to arashiyama line. Important is this money changer machine provides good rate for foreign currencies compare to other bank machines. Room size is not big but the twin room for two persons sharing is still quite OK to me. I choose the twin room without cleaning services but they will still provide you new clean towels everyday.
