"I stayed for 1 night. It was in the city center and close to everything. The hotel looks very chic and in the center. I didn’t get the opportunity to have the breakfast since I left very early in the morning. I will definitely stay there again next time I am in Kyoto. "

"The service and staff were exceptionally helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast and loved that it was next door to the metro station. Also located across from the Imperial Gardens. "This is the second time I have stayed here visiting family. Overall nice property but there was an issue with guests from Mainland China. They were loud, drunk, rude, and made thenstay less enjoyable. This hotel should review it's travel partners and better vet the groups coming in. The area is good but too many Gaijin tourists who are ruining Kyoto with there boorish behavior. I feel sorry for the locals."

"It was fantastic to experience a more traditional Japanese style accommodation. The futon beds were really comfortable. Trying the Japanese breakfast was well worth it and the fried tofu in miso was delicious. It is great to find accommodation who goes above and beyond to be sustainable. The staff are very helpful and friendly."

"Staying at Sarangbang was quite great. The train stations, convenience store and some other stores are just walkable distance. The staffs were accommodating and the room was good enough for us to stay. Thank you!"
