"We loved staying here with our two kids to visit their sister who lives in the lower East side. Close to everything and in a lively neighborhood and the ablility to be dropped off in front worked well. We also loved the queen beds which most NYC rooms have doubles, hardwood floors and nice windows. also the bathroom was large with many looks and storage areas. The staff was very nice and friendly. And the lounge/bar/patio on the 15th floor is amazing. Almost 360 views and great coffee light...

"The Ludlow was perfect! Staff was very accommodating and helpful. The only thing I would say wasn’t perfect was the elevators can sometimes take a while and the powder creamer provided in the room didn’t mix well/ easily. Otherwise, would def stay there again! Rooms were very quiet esp for NYC! "

"I recently stayed at this hotel to be closer to city hall for my elopement. I live in NY so I’ve frequented this hotel for years and have even stayed one night, a few times. This go round, I had my mom also stay, I booked my teenage daughters a room, and my sister from out of state. We even had our puppy. When I arrived, I was greeted by Destiny, she was so kind! "Listen folks, if you are low on funds and need to stay in Manhattan for a night, this will suffice. I don't recommend couples coming here for a sexy night because the walls are thin and the ceilings are like mesh. You can hear everything. I'd say it's clean, but you can't clean built in grime. Great location. Nice staff."

"Hard to speak of it because oddly enough I did not end up staying there. You see, the hotel was fully booked when we arrived despite us making reservations. But thankfully, the guy (Frankie) at the front desk was kid and helpful and solution-oriented enough to put as at a second hotel owned by same owner 2 blocks away that was far better for the original cost! So...we were quite lucky! It was so nice there at the Allen Hotel and staff were very helpful and kind. So I have to give a positive...
