there was NO air conditioning, the staff said, open the windows to get cold air in the room and i was to close windows when it got to cold enough. the air conditioning box was not working. in addition, there wasnt an air vent in tbe rest room. thirdly, no clothes hooks, but managed to hang clothes around the closet door frame.

This hotel was nice , it’s very convenient and with a corner room you can see Times Square. The staff really tries to help however they can . The property is dated a bit but the beds are comfortable and the bathroom was clean. In NYC this is what you need as it’s extremely walkable to all the midtown destinations.

Stayed at Park Central from Dec 30 to Jan 2. I have been to NYC 4 times in the last 2 years and stayed at 5 stars and 3 star hotels, and I think this was my favorite place to stay. The staff are kind, the location is AMAZING, the lobby and restaurant are clean and beautifully designed. Friend and I stayed in a double queen room, which was clean and nicely sized. The only thing I have to say which is a small point but the shower curtains weren't long enough to reach the floor so the bathroom floor would always get soaked. Besides that! It was an awesome stay and you can see central park and times square right outside!

Hotel was clean but dated. We had a corner room with two queen beds. Lengthwise the room was good. The room was tight when trying to get around the beds. The rooms have a two pipe system only allowing heat for six months of the year and air conditioning the other six months. Our room was hot and there was no way to cool it down. Our phone did not work so there was no way to call the front desk or for service. The bathroom had a very small sink and counter for a room that was supposed to house four people. There were only two elevators and always a wait to get in one. I would think twice before staying here again.

The hotel location is decent, and the lobby is well designed, however everything else is disappointing for the price point. There was nothing in the fridge, no coffee, no water, no snacks, or tea. There is nothing on the bathroom sink except a tiny soap and lotion. The room had two queen beds, however only one shower towel was provided. There was only one towel hook, so we had to overlap our wet shower towels on the hook. There were total 8 pillows on two beds but only 1 pillow case looked clean, while all other cases had small hair on them. It wasn’t the worst experience but it’s less than ideal for the price point.

The hotel was nice & the room was comfortable but there were a few letdowns about our stay in general. It was fairly dusty when we first checked in & it didn’t feel like there were many facilities in the room. There was no tea/coffee maker; there was a fridge but no minibar. The room itself was damaged, the mirror in the bathroom was peeling all around the edges, the bottoms of the door were broken the wood was chipping off & the TV had a large scratch in it. The bathroom sink wasn’t draining properly for the first few days which was gross. The biggest inconvenience, however, was the lifts. There are signs around the property that there is an upgrade/refurbishment happening to the lifts but they were always extremely full, there was always a line up for the lifts & they felt ‘faulty’. They would stop at every level even if no one was there & the doors would constantly bounce back open once they close. There were a number of occasions where we opted to take the stairs all the way to level 15. It probably would’ve been nice to know about this before we checked in — guests need to be made aware. It would’ve been nice if they had a restaurant for breakfast as it is a busy part of the city & trying to find breakfast was tricky every morning. The location was great — walking distance to Central Park, Times Square, Fifth Avenue & Rockefeller Plaza. There was a subway stop on the corner which made getting around convenient.
