"Clean attended lobby small fridge quiet coffee in room overall larger then most NYC hotel rooms and felt quite safe and secure"

"The air conditioning in our room did not work, and it took almost two hours for them to send engineers and ultimately move us that took away from our quiet time in the afternoon, which was not fair. We wanted to take a nap and rest up before a party on Halloween. We did not get to do that."

"Listen folks, if you are low on funds and need to stay in Manhattan for a night, this will suffice. I don't recommend couples coming here for a sexy night because the walls are thin and the ceilings are like mesh. You can hear everything. I'd say it's clean, but you can't clean built in grime. Great location. Nice staff."

"Hard to speak of it because oddly enough I did not end up staying there. You see, the hotel was fully booked when we arrived despite us making reservations. But thankfully, the guy (Frankie) at the front desk was kid and helpful and solution-oriented enough to put as at a second hotel owned by same owner 2 blocks away that was far better for the original cost! So...we were quite lucky! It was so nice there at the Allen Hotel and staff were very helpful and kind. So I have to give a positive...

"Although the units were older, I thought it gave the suite charm. It was basically a one bedroom apartment with a large futon type couch that could become another bed. I loved having a kitchen. The staff were incredibly nice. I did not have a car so it was a great location within walking distance to many metro stops. Food and shopping were close as well."

"Great stay, very accommodating staff, excellent location in LES. Would definitely go back again. Spacious room with separate front area perfect for traveling with a baby. Little things like having trash cans in stairwells also helpful. Comfortable bed with gigantic showers (best water pressure in NYC). Front desk super helpful with nice personal touches. "
