"If you prefer the nouveau sheen and ostentatious sterility of present-day New York, do not stay here. Please. There are countless banal and pretentious options that would better suit your needs. This is not one of them. However, if you have a desire for subtle luxury and intend to spend some time hibernating with your flame between indulging your impeccable taste via dining, shopping, and consuming once-private collections; book a room. The staff are some of the best I’ve encountered. Anywhere....
