Here’s what brought the hotel status down: The elevator system is horrible. It’s not made with common sense. There’s always a mess of people to grab an elevator. And to come down, it would take so long; we’d always have to take the stairs. The free “breakfast” was horrible garbage. The eggs were that junk mix blend, so that the hotel can save on breakfast. The rest was all typical garbage buffet grease bag food. The only edible food was the fruit. I don’t appreciate when a hotel tries to be cheap while offering breakfast, and also doesn’t consider someone who wants to eat real food and not junk food! You’re only contributing to the obese rate in the USA.

While the property is nice, it is overcrowded at all times. The breakfast areas are small and can't accommodate the number of people. We waited 18 minutes for an elevator to go down to the lobby and subsequent trips down weren't much better because the elevators were overflowing with people each time they arrived at our floor. The rooms are some of the smallest we have had in our many stays in NYC. The staff is friendly and the coffee is good, but the areas are just too small to accommodate all of the people that want to stay in this hotel.

Great proximity to Times Sq, but the staff stood around talking to one another instead of helping guests. Poor elevator call system; took up to 15min to get into an elevator, and stopped at almost every floor on the way down. King sized bed takes up most of the room. The free breakfast is a step below basic and is almost inedible.

Pros: location, free breakfast, cleanliness of room Cons: Room was hot. Could not get temp below 70 degrees, showers were cold, elevator situation was a nightmare. This was my 12th visit to NYC but my 1st stay at this hotel. I liked the location, but the elevator system was inefficient and not worth the convenience of location. We waited 25 minutes for an elevator to go down. We had to plan to leave 30-45 minutes earlier than we wanted in order to make reservations on time. Rooms were very small, would not recommend for more than a couple or parent/child
