"Some of the property maintenance was a little overdue. Our room had a closet door issue and the doors wouldn't stay on the track. The AC smelled of mildew. The toilet ran unless we jiggled the handle. The bathroom faucet handle had one particular spot where you could get it to stop running. Everyone that worked here made up for what the building was lacking. All servers and hosts were gracious and accommodating. I hope we go back, just to see the staff again! Bottomless margaritas and the beautiful Caribbean! Thank you, Jaime for being a lovely host in the restaurant. "

"Overall, this is exactly the kind of vacation I wanted to take. The all inclusive feature was the most beneficial and you can choose the different restaurants on site as well as the neighboring Sunscapes and Dreams for food and drinks. We stayed in the Oceanfront 111 on the lower level, which was perfect to walk out to the beach with that view and was absolutely beautiful every single morning. The bed was comfortable, the soaking tub, my girlfriend absolutely took advantage of. Housekeeping was spot on to replace towels and make the bed and take out the garbage daily. All the staff members were so nice and everybody we came across was so accommodating and helpful. We didn’t have our daughter but every restaurant we went to asked if we had any kind of allergies which we’d really appreciated, we don’t, but our daughter does and we found that so inviting that they cared to make sure that they asked every single time we went to any of the restaurants. The menus were on the app were close, but not exactly to what they had for that day, but gave you a really good idea of all the times of the restaurants of when they were open and when they closed and what was preferred only and what was not. We were in a preferred suite so everything was available to us. The place isn’t perfect, but it’s still Mexico with a beautiful view and make the most of it. Just don’t go into the mindset that it’s a five star resort, make your own assumptions, but for us, exactly what we needed"

"We've vacationed at Playa Azul over a dozen times over the years and we absolutely love staying there! The beach area and snorkeling are first rate! Plenty of shaded seating and the tiki bar is right there (Great Drinks & the Beer is COLD). The menu items are also first rate and you can't beat the breakfast bar! Great service, fantastic coffee, and plates made to order by the chef. Perhaps the main reason we keep going back is the wonderful staff! They are so friendly, accommodating, and dedicated to making your vacation fun and relaxing! Case in point, I accidentally dropped my wallet in a cab on the way back to Playa Azul and I didn't noticed it until 10-15 minutes after we got back. The front desk immediately got on the radio and tracked down the cab driver and he found the wallet and returned it! That's the type of over-the-top service the Playa Azul staff provides! We highly recommend vacationing at Playa Azul to anybody! We can't wait to go back in August!"

"The staff was Phenominal! It was the perfect laid back feel. The beach was amazing and the dock was convienent for excursions and even snorkeling onsite. Albertos just down the beach was fun to explore to. Our guys did a fishing trip and caught Mahi and Albertos cooked it up for us BEST FISH TACOS. We will definately be going back, hopefully ASAP ;) "
