"My daughter and I stayed at Alito Hotel for a whole week and we had a fabulous time, the hotel is not a luxury resort, but it is very comfortable, clean and the staff is so kind, and hard working, we stayed at the building but maybe the cabanas would have been more quiet as some of the other guests were noisy either very early in the morning or late at night. "Location is great walking distance to Ven a la luz sculpture. Perfect beach front property, depending on tide conditions of course. Loved having room pool front, I will say given that the pool was open until 10pm I don’t quite understand why they started the cleaning at 9pm just when I was planning to go in which impeded us from using it and we were there only one night which kind of sucked, especially with ocean conditions and high winds. Very cute boutique hotel, well worth the price I might...

"This hotel is rustic but charming. Tulum is very expensive to stay and to dine. But the Maya hotel offers some of the most affordable dining options within the property. It’s not very close to the more busy area of Tulum and that’s what I wanted. However, taxis are a rip off, so if you don’t have your own transportation it is a bit far and the roads and side walks of awful. But the hotel is very cool. "
