"Menger was not my choice. It was my half sister visiting from Germany. Most hotels are just a place to rest your head. The hotel and its history had me hook line and sinker. The area is filled with early American history and the hotel is a big part of it. I loved my stay and the visit with my sister that I only met 2 years ago thanks to a DNA site. "They didn’t have keys to the room. Had to wait for someone with a master key to let us in...took a while. Also without a key, we couldn’t leave unless we propped our door open. Tv was a very old tube one that the picture was going out on. Blanket on top of bed was so thin we had to use our own to stay warm. Would never recommend to anyone nor will we ever stay at this chain of hotels again."

"We had a wonderful stay at the Brackenridge House Bed & Breakfast. Lily was our Host and she was very accommodating and friendly. The room was lovely - furnished well and had everything we needed for our stay. It was very clean and the bedding was so comfy and cozy!
