"The Lakeside rooms have a beautiful view of the lake. Offerings at the restaurant/bar were enjoyable and creative. Somewhat limited selection for lunch/dinner but we had four different mains and all were excellent. We parked in the underground garage which has limited parking although not a problem finding spots during the end of March. Mattress in bed was very nice for sleeping and all the other amenities were good. No microwave in the room type I chose, I think it was the only stay in NZ...

"Room was older/ a little tired looking and the wardrobe was creepy! Nice view of the gardens. Great breakfast with lots of options. Friendly staff. Beautiful flower gardens. "

"LOVELY stay-the proprietors Tim and Janet are wonderful hosts-we were allowed to check in early, shared an informal happy hour and they gave us a lot of local information and happenings. Janet showed a lot of personal touches to the room and it was great to have our own patio. HIGHLY recommend!"

"Great re-use of a historic building. Light and airy.. no drink rule, nice and quiet with communcal jigsaws. Easy 20 min walk into town and park nearby. Lots of places to eat too. "

"Awesome Place. Cheri and Karen were very friendly and helpful. The common areas were large and comfortable. Breakfast was nice and we met some other guests during this time. "

"Very cool accomodation in the old Church. Respectfully kept some of the gestures of the church like some of the beams and rafters and the stained glass. Great communication with the owners who were very accomodating to our requests Thanks so much"

"A warm welcome from motelliers have pride in their accommodation and this is reflected in the tidy and cleanliness of the very comfortable rooms. A historic police station with great character; the rooms are tastefully decorated in a modern manner but consistent with the building."
