"We had an excellent one night stay at the Arrowtown House boutique hotel. The room was lovely and the welcome gifts of a cheese platter and half bottle of wine were much appreciated, as was the homemade cake in the afternoon. "This was a lovely unit with a great back garden where we could eat our take away dinner outside. The facility provided beach towels, a shovel (for Hot Water Beach), is convenient to the beach, and the bed and cushioned window seat were great. The chief complaint was there is no sink, other than the bathroom sink, in which to do dishes. A bathroom sink is not really a sanitary solution for dishes. We hope that the resort owners take the dishes used in any unit and run them through a dishwasher...

"We loved staying here. Very quiet, owners are wonderful. Kitchen available to cook in for dinner. Breakfast provided in the morning, eggs available to cook yourself, cereal, yogurt and even had GF bread available. Grocery store very close drive. Owners were easy to correspond with before stay. "

The motel is immaculately clean, bright and modern , with a fantastically equipped kitchen area , dishwasher with the dishwasher soap supplied, and access to washing machines and dryers on the ground floor. "Stayed a few days before a cruise, overall room was nice and bed was comfy, didn't use the pool or facilities and it looked like it could use a little maintenance but could just be because it's not the right season for it? Arrived at 8pm and reception was unmanned, a phone number was on a sign but we had no phone service, thankfully another guest helped us find someone to check us in but they could use some kind of buzzer or way to alert staff that people have arrived rather than scrambling...

"couldn't figure out the shower from instructions until the next morning unfortunately and all the things I wanted from it when booking were disconnected (it looked very high pressure and I'd done a day of sports) bed was good and overall a decent stay. just do expect a basic shower. "
