We spent two nights in this hotel in a Standard room, we took the bus from the airport and alighted at Blue Peaks and the hotel is 20 metres walk towards Queenstown.
The hotel is a 10 minute walk into Queenstown centre, or if you fancy a more scenic walk, 20-25 minutes through Queenstown gardens, both down hill, so uphill on the way back!
The room was dated, needing a total refurbishment. The bulbs in one of the bedside lamps had gone and also one in the bathroom, the bath was chipped in numerous places. The shaver 2 pin socket did not work. The ventilation window in the bathroom was permanently ajar, couldn’t be closed, consequently whenever anyone walked by talking we heard it all. Also, doors closing of cars parked outside. The rooms were wooden cabins, consequently when people closed their doors, the cabins rattled.
The breakfast choice was comprehensive but there were no lids covering the hot dishes so, unless you got the food as it was served, most things were only lukewarm. The carpet in the dining room didn’t look as if it had seen a vacuum in days, there were crumbs and egg shells all over it.
