"This is the real Hawaii! The property is located in a relatively remote area about 30 minutes south of Pahoa. Beautiful setting in the middle of a forest not too far from the beach. Isaac Hale Park is within walking distance and although the beach isn’t very safe for swimming there is a pond there that you can swim in. The accommodations are primitive and like camping but Mango Cabin was very spacious and the beds were VERY comfy. It is off-grid but there is electricity to the cabins. The cabins...

"I really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a month while we relocated from Ohio. The owners were easily accessible and very kind. The house was clean and fully stocked. The property was secluded and the the nature all around was relaxing. The owners were knowledgeable about local attractions and places to eat. I would recommend this place especially if your looking for something off the beaten path."

"The place is as described and pictured, full of amazing vintage furniture. We settled in comfortably after a little difficulty finding the place in the dark: the sign was higher than headlight range and the street has at least 5 houses. We were pleased that all of Rachel's guests were considerate people while that was not true of one resident house and one guest house on the street.We cannot recommend this place highly enough: truly unique. Rachel helped us a few times, communicating promptly. "
