"When I booked this house, I knew it was in the middle of the Hawaiian jungle rainforest and was excited to experience that with my family. I found the driveway and house address easily even though it was raining hard and after dark. When we parked in front of the unit and opened the doors of our rental car, we were overwhelmed by the night jungle sounds. It was a moment my family will not forgot. My 12-year-old daughter and 15-year-old son were visibly nervous and slept in the same room that night with a light on. When we woke in the morning, we were surrounded by an amazing jungle full of life and bright Hawaiian sun. We all fell in love with the place. My daughter asked to sleep in the outdoor veranda. Peeper frogs, morning rooster calls, and a super friendly cat that loves to cuddle. (We named her Tiki). Thank you for the opportunity to stay at your jungle home. "

"My daughter and I stayed at this lovely home for three nights. The location was ideal for us. Necessities, such as gas and groceries, were close by and it was an easy drive to the Hilo area and the coastal areas to our east and south. Our host, Chrissy, was a pleasure. Communication was top-notch, both before and during our stay. This was our first time staying at a hosted rental and we wondered if privacy would be an issue - it was not. Chrissy was available if we needed her, but otherwise we barely knew she was there. We greatly appreciated her kindness and hospitality. The upstairs suite had everything we needed, such as microwave, coffee maker, mini refrigerator (with freezer), two beds (one a foldout futon) and a spacious bathroom. A second bathroom was available to us, as well. Our suite, linens and towels were clean. The house is surrounded by lush jungle foliage and accompanying nature sounds (birds and frogs), which we found relaxing, even late at night.No complaints and highly recommend. "

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Spacious & Modern Pāhoa Retreat Near Kehena Beach! Our group ranged in age from 87 to 96, with one 44-year-old, and this home was perfect for everyone. While it has two levels, the layout was spacious and beautifully designed, making it comfortable and easy to navigate.The colors and design made everyone feel very special—like it was a real treat to be there. The bathrooms were large and well-appointed, and the linens were soft and high-quality, adding to the overall comfort. The beds were all very comfortable. The kitchen was well-stocked, and the home had everything we could have wanted to make our stay enjoyable.We had the opportunity to meet the owner of the home while we were there and the kindness that was shown to our group is enough to make me be a cheerleader for this property. Also, the management company was super responsive and very helpful! The peaceful location was ideal, offering a quiet retreat while still being close to all local attractions. They were in the process of finishing an outdoor kitchen and a whole outdoor area, which will be amazing once completed. If we ever get the chance to return to the Big Island, we would love to stay here again!This is a beautiful property and we made forever memories there. Thankful that we chose this place! "

"We had a wonderful time there and even extended our stay one day in order to catch the latest volcano eruption in the national park. This was the perfect location for exploring the east side of Hawaii island. The beds were comfortable and the lanai was huge."
