Comfortable, Safe, Beautiful Location
The home provided more than enough room for 3 friends and would be comfortable for a family with kids, too. A couple parks are well intermingled in the neighborhood which is quiet and a good location to walk, stargaze, and sleep well. Hilo is accessible but not too close, the Sunday Maku'u Market is a must, and the proximity to the ocean provided a relaxing vibe.

Loved this home!
Such a beautiful house. All amenities we needed and more. Property manager and owner were both very responsive when we had a little hiccup with the hot tub — it was fixed and running within 20 minutes after we reached out. It was warm upstairs (January) in the evenings but stayed comfortable with the portable AC. Would love to stay again.

Pahoa Vacation
This is a great home to stay while visiting the Big Island. The location is beautiful although a bit far from everything. Hilo is about 30 minutes away but can take a little over an hour during high traffic times. The house is clean and looks exactly like the photos. They make note of portable AC units downstairs but I didn't see any. There is a portable AC upstairs which is helpful since there isn't a great cross breeze upstairs. AC wasn't needed downstairs during our stay since we stayed in a cooler month and there is an amazing cross breeze once you open all windows. I saw that some guests had complained about terrible wifi but I didn't have any issues and I had to work while on vacation so I would have noticed. Overall, great place and would definently stay again!! Property managment was attentive and very nice :)

Great for the whole family
This house was roomy and a wonderful stay for my entire family. We traveled here with a family of 6 and everyone was super happy! The king sized bed is wonderful and the hot tub was a nice treat at the end of long days seeing the island! The kitchen had all you need to cook, and although we did not use the grill, it was there as a nice option on a beautiful lanai. Breakfasts were great as there is a nice big table for us to all sit together with a breakfast bar as well- You can walk out to the ocean within 30 seconds and the sunrise off the cliffs were picturesque and real pretty. Seeing the ocean right out of the master bedroom was nice for my wife and I! Really enjoyed our stay. Mahalo!

Location location location!
The property exceeded our expectations. It is located steps away from a lovely park overlooking an extraordinary view of the beautiful g island surf. The house has two well appointed guest rooms and one expansive master suite with access to a wrap around upper deck with views of the ocean. The gourmet kitchen is stocked with virtually every tool one would need to hold a a small dinner party. The grounds , which are not really featured in the listing, are lovely and beautifully maintained. I’m not really a fan of spa tubs but the one prominently displayed on the property was so inviting that we used it often during our stay. Our contact person Jessica was lovely and promptly and professionally responded to any inquiries we had. Tip to any future guests. Located in the main part of the town are two essentials. There is a lovely gourmet market called Hama Marketl just a short ten minute ride in the small town center of Pahoa. It has absolutely everything you’ll need ! Just moments away is a hardware store that has everything else! Just one small critique. We found that when we left for the day and closed up the house upon returning the house really heated up. There is an indoor floor unit air conditioner in the master suite which did help with sleeping., however; the vaulted ceiling design of the house makes it difficult to cool down the house. It took several hours to achieve adequate sleeping conditions. Not even certain how this can be rectified. I highly recommend property!

Overall, loved our stay. Check-in was easy; Kekela reached out the day of check-in to make sure we were arriving safely, as we were checking in during the evening time driving from Kona. The home was comfortable and the communal area was open and spacious. We had so many seating options between the 4 of us: bar-height counter seating, dining table, couch with a tv, patio table with bench where we enjoyed some food we made in the fully equipped kitchen plus the outdoor grill, and an outdoor loveseat. We wanted to do laundry but there wasn’t any ready detergent left for us, and it wasn’t on our minds when we went grocery shopping. The upstairs has a balcony that you can see the ocean from, however it’s even better just walking a few minutes down the street to catch a better view of the sunrise and ocean. I enjoyed the upstairs loft with the a/c so my nights were more comfortable than my friends downstairs who preferred to sleep with their doors/windows shut and had more humid slumbers and wished they had an a/c of their own. Expect to see bugs/spiders, little tiny geckos(?). We did our best to keep the windows and doors shut to keep any unwanted guests out, also keeping the areas clean of food and sanitizing. Nature is loud but it became white noise and it’s amazing how alive the night time can sound. From hearing the waves and the raindrops falling on the palms trees, it was a beautiful vacation home away from the crowd/tourists.

Grade A Stay!
We absolutely loved the place! Great quite location! Close to a beautiful beach cliff park, perfect for morning coffee sunrises. We took every opportunity to enjoy the backyard hot tub soaks several times a day! The upper loft can get a bit warm from the afternoon sun, but the comfort of the bed makes it worth it! That loft bed is amazing! The setup was perfect for our pleasure and four adults. The kitchen is shy of a few sets of glasses/cups for everyday use, but we made it work with a few red cups! We will definitely be booking for another stay!

The house was a great home base for exploring the island. The host's list of suggestions for restaurants and things to do was very helpful and spot on. The short walk to the ocean to enjoy the view and sounds of the waves crashing was awesome.

Great location and stay!
Nice peaceful location close to the volcano. I've stayed in both Hilo and Kona now and if you want the more relaxed and cooler weather side this is the side. More rain but weather is perfect. Property is very nice with a very nice ocean view a 1 minute walk away. Only complaint I would have was the internet is pretty sketchy. Not that you should need too much internet on an unplugged vacation but it was pretty spotty. Hot tub awesome with the rain. Covered parking for the raining parts of the day. Had a great time.

Great property! The house was very comfortable and adequately stocked. We loved the hot tub and outdoor shower. Grandma, and parents loved to walk around the corner to watch the surf pound on the rocks. Kids were more interested in finding beaches to play on. We went to Hilo (40+minutes) and just north for that and more. Great access to Volcanoes National Park (50 minutes). The local farmers market was really fun with nice produce and crafts. Weather was very kind to us and the frogs didn’t keep us up (as some warned us they might). This was our first time to the big island and we were very pleased. Thanks for your hospitality!

Elegant home in beautiful location
My family of 4 (2 parents and 2 young adult/teen kids) stayed here in April 2023 and had a great time. It's located in a residential neighborhood, near a park and the rocky coast. It is on the "wet" side of the island, so be prepared for rain - we had several very heavy rains during our stay - and a frog chorus at the beginning of the night! Grocery stores and casual restaurants are in the nearby town of Pahoa (~15 min drive). The house was well supplied, beautifully maintained, and we especially appreciated the decks/lanais. A relaxing escape!

Beautiful house
This is a beautiful house and property. It’s a bit out if the way away from everything but right near the water. Cell service for me was a little spotty and I had to drive back towards town and take screen shots of the check in email to make sure I could access the door code before I had connected to wifi (whoops!) Also, one suggestion would be being some extension cords (or maybe the property owner could provide them) as the outlet near the upstairs bed wasn’t that convenient to access behind the headboard.
