"Clearly a very unique property, that definitely would have been in its hay day incredible. Situated amongst an amazing gold course with incredible views, set in large grounds, with swimming pool, spa and tennis court, plus a winery to boot. Sadly you can see the property exterior/gardens/maintenance slowly deteriorating. The rooms are huge, very clean, and a little dated as well. "did want a room with a bath but its okay as my son still enjoyed the fact the shower head could come down to his height for a shower, great beds almost didnt want to leave them, convenient parking (great idea for parking permits) great quiet stay warm and cozy thank you poenamo team !"

"Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Room was lovely and big. Comfy beds, hot shower, heaps of towels, coffee pod machine. Pool was great, spa was lovely. Laundry handy. Good little gift shop. Didn’t eat at Rydges as too expensive - $65pp. Hard to find somewhere reasonable to eat in Rotorua, everything overpriced and very touristy. "
