"We pulled up to this obviously older hotel and were getting pangs of regret. The front desk is littered with post-its and random notes under the glass top. I was met at the door by a happy little dog and my wife began rolling her eyes. A casual front desk atmosphere was clear. Walking past the pool to our room, I noticed it was clean and the water was clear. I did not get the chance to sample it. We climbed the wooden stairs with 2x4 railings to our second floor room while making a mental note...

The family that runs it was attentive to my dietary needs, they were friendly, they provided water for us every day to take with us on our outings and literally everything we needed right down to extra towels and blankets were provided promptly. The location was very serene and relaxing and I felt like I was at home. I will definitely stay here when I return to Mount Dora, FL."
