"Yet again an amazing hotel, been to most of of the De vere hotels! Room amazing, albeit quite a trek from reception ! 1705 restaurant was a bit of a let down, as I asked for a plain chicken filet burger but it came with a pickle relish inside and the chips were still hard inside, did advise staff and they knocked of 12% service charge, fair enough. "Good hotel with lovely grounds. Bedroom were big size and clean. We had a first bad night because we had the extraction fan system machine next door. Although upon speaking with the reception staff they have moved us to a different room without hesitating. On the back of that they made 20% discount on the stay and gave us a complementary drink. "Friendly and great location with easy parking. Room was clean although a little dated, but as they seem to be renovating sure this will change. A shame lots of hotel is closed for renovations and not mentioned when booking, however the great view, clean and spacious room and ease of stay means I would happily stay again."

"The hotel is closing to guests in order to take in refugees so not such a smooth operation. Not the fault of staff who were all friendly and helpful. Full marks to Kamman who kept bar open after his shift ended for late revellers. We were attending a wedding nearby so didn’t require full facilities. Breakfast ok but very busy. "

"Had a really lovely stay with my daughters for 2 nights, clean rooms and comfy beds and great location to access lapland UK and Harry Potter studios. Friendly helpful staff and they even put chocolates and balloons on the bed for my daughters birthday which was lovely. The only down fall was we were told that breakfast finishes at 10.30am on the weekend and we went there at 10.10am and it had stopped at 10. "This is a budget hotel and is a good example of that. The small room was fine for the price. The double bed was very comfortable and we got a good nights sleep. The breakfast was really good. So for the price you pay it is what is expected. Unfortunately, there is one downside, the staff need to be more welcoming.
