Good location, close to train station and town centre. Room was tired, stains on carpet. It’s more functional than exceptional. It suited my need as I arrived late and only stayed one night. Wi-Fi didn’t work in my room. Did mention it to reception who told me iPhones don’t always work?!? I noted it worked in reception just not my room.

I would try another Ibis. I would not choose to stay at this hotel again, though. Design flaw in bathrooms impacting plumbing. Bathroom smelled funky. Great location. Lovely reception staff.

The staff at the Ibis Reading Center is very helpful. The hotel is centrally located, near the train station and other sites such as the Abbey ruins and Reading Gaol.

I stayed in room 1014 overnight Sep 27/28. I noticed some discoloration on the bathroom door frame floor that looked like dried blood. I am trying to attach the photos that I took if it but can't somehow attach them. When checking in, was given room key but it didn't open the door. I had to return to the lobby with my baggage to get a key that worked. It seems that the counter staff has been playing jokes on each other when key my key was issued! After a long train journey, it was not something I found funny!!

Received this message from Ibis "I can confirm that your preference has been noted in your booking. Kind regards, Dzhulia". Needless to say when I arrived nobody had looked at it, and they had overbookedy room type so I didn't even get what I paid for, dreadful service. I also complained to hotel about the wash basin and associated surface having not been cleaned, I got no response. One to avoid on the future.
