"My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time at Sandos. The staff and service was amazing, and they tend to any needs. This is a smaller resort, but the different restaurant options were all great. Reservations are limited, but the as long as you book them in advance when you get there, there will be availability. There was a bit of a sewage smell in the bathroom, but nothing to ruin our trip. It can be difficult to secure a spot at the pool but that is to be expected at a smaller resort. Breakfast at St. Trop was awesome every morning and we looked forward to it. While there was some fun and entertaining pool parties and a couple of events at night, I would recommend this resort to those looking for a quieter, relaxing vacation, less partying. Would definitely come back! "

"The riu palace peninsula has beautiful views, a great beach! The staff was incredibly warm and kind and helpful-the pools were so fun. The entertainment was a lot of fun! Thank you for a great vacation!"

"I stayed at this property in early March and I’ve been to others in Cancun and so far this one has the best food. They do have a buffet open for breakfast , lunch , and dinner that does not require reservations but the food was exceptional and it did not disappoint for any time of the day. I really didn’t mind the other restaurants needing reservations since the staff is able to help you reserve for a couple days straight , I will say get there to the reservation table exactly at 10am so you don’t have to wait in long lines to reserve. The beach was super clean. The only downside was that my room seemed to be very old although the pictures on booking looked like they were remodeled. I did read that they have only certain rooms that are remodeled which does suck. Overall the room was clean but didn’t meet my expectations compared to what the resort looks like I was expecting a nice room. "
